| HarVest Bank of Maryland in Rockville, which plans to open its first branch this summer, named Gary S. Shaivitz senior vice president and COO and Larry Singer senior vice president and chief lending officer. Previously, Shaivitz was president of Strategic Success Inc., a consulting firm, and held positions with Bank of America, M&T/Allfirst Bank, the Bank of Baltimore and Equitable Bank. He also was a senior consultant with Furash & Co. Singer was senior vice president at Acacia Federal Savings Bank and Silicon Valley Bank. He also was vice president at Crestar Bank. The bank also named Kathy Garey, formerly of AmericasBank, vice president of operations; Marianne Kretsis, formerly of First Virginia Bank, assistant vice president and branch manager; Kanika Agarwal, formerly of North Milwaukee Bank, assistant vice president; and Barbara Ryan, formerly of Sequoia Bank, officer and executive assistant to the president. |
