Now in its tenth year, the County’s 2006 Economic Development Report Card confirms a continued, strong economy in Montgomery County, fueled by diverse industry sectors and a highly educated and skilled workforce.
The County received one “A+” in the Highly-Skilled, Knowledge-Based Economy category, and “A’s” in The Labor Market, Professional and Business Services, Business Attraction and Retention, Income Tax Receipts, and Property Tax Base categories.
“We are very pleased to receive high marks in such key categories as knowledge-based economy, labor market, business attraction and retention and income and property tax base,” said County Executive Isiah Leggett. “However, I think the more important application of this Report Card is in identifying those areas within the County that need improvement
