A top executive of HarVest Bank of Maryland said he is optimistic about 2009, despite the economic downturn.
Ronald K. Wills, senior vice president of the Rockville-based bank, is looking forward to the formal opening of the Frederick branch on Saturday, he said.
The bank, normally not open on Saturdays, will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. to coincide with the First Saturday Gallery Walk event held downtown each month.
HarVest Bank of Maryland took over a site at 37 N. Market St., which had been occupied by Graystone Bank of Pennsylvania.
