After shuttling back and forth from Germantown in Montgomery County to Baltimore for two years as secretary of DBED, Edgerley will join HarVest Bank of Maryland as executive vice president on Feb. 18, when the bank moves from Rockville into its new headquarters in Gaithersburg.
“I was happy and so was my wife,” he said. “The bank headquarters is about seven or eight minutes from my house.”
The executive vice president role with the bank is still somewhat undefined, but Jack Hollerbach, president and CEO of HarVest, said Edgerley will likely handle things like regulatory compliance and facilities management.
“I think it was an opportunity that made a lot of sense for us, and I think it will be a great fit for Dave,” Hollerbach said. “We didn’t have an open position that we were recruiting for, so we have the luxury of getting a guy with business development skills and a wide range of contacts and fitting him in to a bank that was already doing pretty well before he got here.”
